1889

W. ANDREWS & CO

Our root company W. Andrews is founded in Colon by William Thomas Andrews who at the time represented the West India Mail company. Mr. Andrews returned to England in 1920 leaving his interests to his friend and long-time associate, Captain Payne of Payne & Wardlaw.

1914

PAYNE & WARDLAW

With the opening of the Panama Canal to world commerce in 1914, W. Andrews & Co extended services to the Pacific jointly with the offices of Payne & Wardlaw. Similarly, Payne & Wardlaw extended their service to the Atlantic with the support of W. Andrews. This was the beginning of an Association that has lasted over a century now represented in ASA.
