Edmund Blennerhassett OBE (Chairman).
Entered the firm in 1959 and over a continuing career now exceeding forty years has experienced the full scope of Maritime Activities at the Canal. During this tenure he has among other things served as a Director of the Association of Steamship Owners and Agents at the Panama Canal and as an advisor on International Maritime Trade to the Colon Free Zone. A founding member he served for decades on the Board of Directors of the Maritime Chamber of Panama first as its Vice President and then Secretary-Treasurer and for much of that time was appointed by the International Chamber of Shipping in London to its Canals Panel . He was honored by HM Queen Elizabeth with an appointment to be a Member of the Order of The   British Empire in 2001 and then promoted to be an Officer of that Order in 2006. 

Charles M. Langman MSc (President & General Manager)
Over 30 years of experience in Agency Business. Covered positions in areas of operations, Liner, Commercial, Financial and Management . Studied Industrial Engineering and completed Bachelor of Science in Business and Management, and holds a Master’s degree in Shipping with specialties in Ports and Canals. Served as Director and Vice-president of the Panama Chamber of shipping. Held the Post of President and Chairman of the Canal affairs Committee for the Chamber of Shipping for many years.

Paul G. Kay MBE (Director)
Educated in England. Joined the Merchant Navy in the early 60’s. Served in the Pursers Department of Elder Dempster Line, and Palm Line which operated from Europe to the West Coast of Africa. Joined the Operations Department of Associated Steamship Agents, S.A. in October 1967. In 1999 was awarded the MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours for services to British interests in Panama, and was presented with the award by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Nov 9th 1999.

Alessandro Risi (Operations Manager)
Working for the company for Twenty Two years, experience in all levels of Agency work, including container-liner, tanker, reefer operations, bunkering, general cargo, mega yachts, STS operations in Balboa, Puerto Armuelles and Chiriqui Grande. Studies in Marketing and Management. Attended seminars in legal Maritime affairs, ISO, International Maritime operations and others. His Energetic personality, European background, professionalism, hands on approach and care, is guarantee of rapid response and a quick turnaround for the ships represented by this Agency.

Aristides Vial-Nicoletti (Line Manager)
Eleven years of experience in Shipping. Marine Engineering Major from the Panama Nautical Academy. Second Engineer License, Diesel & Steam, Unlimited tonnage - Panama Maritime Authority. Responsible for attending liner customers, transit reservations booking applications and all Canal related matters. His knowledge in the field of Marine Engineering and P&I is a big plus and a very good complement to our base of professionals working in Operations.

Jaime Torne (Manager – Cruiseships Department)
With over fourteen years experience in the Shipping business. Holds a Technicians degree in Industrial- Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Panama. Has experience in P&I , passenger-cruise Industry related matters and cargo operations. His thorough understanding of the Cruise Industry and the close connections he has been able to develop with local Authorities over many years of service to the Company, make him a great asset to this Organization.


Pedro J. Roa (Senior Operations Supervisor Cristobal)
Seven years experience in Shipping Agency work. Maritime Port Operations Major with honors from Universidad Tecnologica de Panama. Responsible for attending all logistic related matters, Canal Transits, bunkering, crew matters and cargo operations. His attention to detail and professionalism are an example of what we offer. The best service and attention !
